Editor Rating:

Prior to Version 8.0 of MSN, the spam protection was basically the same as Hotmail's but in a more attractive interface. Version 8 adds intelligent spam filtering in the client software, which claims to learn what is and is not spam as you train it. This means that when you check your mail from the Web, your in-box may contain spam that wouldn't be there if you checked from your main machine. In the time we spent with the new client software, we were able to see some improvement, but it needed a lot of training.
