SpamSieve update targets attachments

The antispam utility SpamSieve has undergone an update that creator Michael Tsai says will improve accuracy for e-mail messages containing attachments. SpamSieve 2.6.4 also fixes a bug that could cause crashes when processing messages containing PDF attachments.

Other changes in Version 2.6.4 of the Bayesian spam-filtering program include updated localizations.

SpamSieve costs $30, though the 2.6.4 update is free to registered users. The spam-filtering software runs on Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later (though 10.4 is recommended) and works with many e-mail programs including Apple Mail, Entourage, Eudora, GyazMail, Mailsmith, and Thunderbird.
